It's official!
Whiskey Jane will be performing in China for the International Country Music Festival in Zhangjiajie City, in the beautiful Hunan province! This event will run from September 10th-18th and will celebrate country music with artists all over the world. We are honoured to be one of the 39 acts chosen for this event, and we will post many pics/highlights of our trip when they become available. More details to come, and don't forget to see our new video release "Sinking like a Sunset" on the home page!

WhiskeyJane is shooting their live performance for their first fully produced music video intended for Television for their first single from their upcoming 2nd album on February 20th in the DownTown/ Yaletown area. We are looking for 200 people for an audience who love Country/ Rock and love to dance! This is a chance to be seen in our music video so we need people who look great and want to have a good time! Age group to look 19 plus but will accept some younger talent. Also looking for older distinguished types for specific crowd shots.

Whiskey Jane is both excited and honoured to be nominated for "Country Recording of the Year" for our debut release "Things Left Unsaid" at the Break Out West 2010 Music Awards in Kelowna! For our peeps in Kelowna, this is going to be a great event that runs from Oct. 21-24th, with the Western Canada Music awards gala on Sat. Oct. 24th at the Kelowna Community Theatre, and televised on CBC. And don't miss the keynote interview from the one and only Bill Henderson of Chilliwack, as the band celebrates 40 years in the industry with the WCMA Hall of Fame Award! We had the pleasure of meeting him at the Vancouver Island Music Business Conference Wrap Party during our showcase back in June. This Friday, August 13th we are opening for Aaron Pritchett and Crystal Shawanda at the Rock'n River Fest in Mission, BC, as well as playing Norwood Stables Saturday, August 21st. Canada Day was a blast! Canada place for 2 sets. The first set was really early at 10:00 and the weather was crappy, so there was only a few hundred folks there for that set. Then we went to the next stage and played for 3000 of our fantastic fans AND the girls sang "O CANADA"! Totally Cool!
Next stop... Calgary Stampede! See ya then!

Cloverdale Rodeo is fast approaching!
For those who squeezed in the 3000+ capacity room last year you know what we're talking about! Whiskey Jane will be hitting the stage this Friday-Sunday night (May 21-23rd) at the Cloverdale Rodeo's legendary Longhorn Saloon, and word has it that Nat's birthday on Sunday is going to be an 80's theme night, so be sure to bring your best swag. CD's are up for grabs! Be sure to get there early, as the line ups are going to be longer than they were for the zipline during the Olympics. LOL

Working hard on the new album! We just finished a bunch of bed tracks at Mushroom Studios and they sound Killer! Rafe laid down some killer drum tracks while John and I drove him Crazy making him do different things.
Anyway, things are really shaping up but we still have alot of work to do. More recording this week. Guitars, Banjo's and Mando's, oh my!...

2010 is filling up fast, and we are proud to announce that Whiskey Jane will be part of the July 1st Canada Day celebrations at Canada Place here in Vancouver, BC! Along with that, we have the Cloverdale Rodeo (Longhorn Saloon) fast approaching in May, as well as many other festivals in the works for the summer. For those who have the extreme channel RUSH HD, be sure to check out the new series called "Hell on Hooves" Season 2, by Juxtapose Productions Inc. premiering on March 29th at 7:30pm. This show will highlight the 2009 Pro Rodeo season, following the careers of top bull riders and fighters. Listen for Whiskey Jane's track "Rodeo Girl" during the program! In the meantime we are heavy into recording for the next single due out by late spring, and don't forget we have our debut album "Things Left Unsaid" for purchase on the 'store' page. Hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics!
We had a fantastic show at the O-Zone last night as we shared the stage with the Arkells and Our Lady Peace. Our biggest show yet, with many more to come! We all hung out with the Arkells afterwards, and celebrated another notch in Canada's Hockey belt as we edged the Swiss in the nail biting shootout. Our thanks goes to Noteable Entertainment, who made every effort to make sure we were taken care of from the time we arrived to the end of the show. We're at Roosters in Pitt Meadows for the rest of the weekend, then back on the road in March to Calgary and Saskatoon. Whiskey Jane will be Rockin' the Olympics at the O-Zone in Richmond on February 18th on the Main Stage with the Arkells and Our Lady Peace headlining the evening. WJ hits the stage at 6 pm with the full 8 piece band featuring songs from our debut album "Things Left Unsaid", including "Music City", which recently hit #57 on the Canadian Country charts. Hope to see you all there, and word has it we'll be partying at the Holland house after the show! See you there!!!

Lots of cool stuff happening as the month rounds up..
We were on Urban Rush january 28th on Shaw TV doing "And The Devil Makes 3". It was a great experience! The crew was great.. meeting the hosts Fiona and Michael, fixtures on the Vancouver scene, was great too:) The cameras, the lights, the countdown to taping..LOL ...so much fun!
We leave for Ralph's in Medicine Hat next Thursday. It's always a blast to be on the road together and going someplace new. Be sure to come on out if you're in the area!
Our highlight in February is playing at the Olympic O-Zone in Richmond on Thursday the 18th at 6 pm. We're so proud to be part of the festivities going on. We believe!

Hey everyone...
The BCCMA's were awesome! The girls performed "And the Devil makes Three" with The All-Star back up band, and they sounded and looked fantastic. We were up for "Group of The Year" this year. The Higgins won this year but that's ok. We're fans of theirs and they worked really hard to get to where they are.
Tonight, the girls will be performing two songs at the BC Lions Half-Time show at BC place here in Vancouver!
They will be performing "And The Devil Makes Three", as well as "Rodeo Girl", our current single. See you at the Game!

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!
Well, The CCMA's in September were amazing! We all had so much fun and met so many wonderful people in our industry from all over Canada. We did the New Talent Showcase and It went really well. We also did an open Mic at the Hyatt and that was alot of fun too. It was exhausting after almost five days of activity but it was an experience that we really enjoyed. Then, of course, it was back to work for us around BC and Alberta.
Rodeo Girl is the current single being played across Canada right now and it looks like it's doing pretty well so far.
Right now, we are gearing up for the BCCMA's. The band has been nominated for "Group/ Duo of the year" and we are pretty excited. The Girls will be performing at the Awards show at the Red Robison Theatre on October 25th with the House Band with other nominee's from other Catagories. It's going to be a great show so come on out.

What a crazy weekend! The band played 17 hours in 4 days...We started off at Roosters in Pitt Meadows on wednesday, thursday and friday night...it was so great to be back! The staff there is like family to us:) Saturday afternoon we had been invited to play the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Country Fest at the Albion Fairgrounds.
Little did we know...the weather forecast was for extreme thunderstorms and buckets of rain!!! Our set finished with celestial fireworks(aka lightning!). Thanks to all our fans who stuck it out under umbrellas and tents or just got as wet as we did! I've never done a show where the sound men (thanks Jake and Rick!) were on stage with us as we played, moving all the monitors out of the rain. Of course, we included them in our antics... Then back to Roosters to finish off the weekend! It's been a great summer so far..looking forward to Abbotsford Agrifair this weekend...xoxox

So we just got the call from the CCMA's and it looks like we will be Performing on September 10th (Thursday) for the "New Artist" Showcase. This is a real honour for us as it is the biggest Country association in Canada and extremly hard to get a showcase with all the incredible talent out there trying to do the same thing. The whole band is really excited about this and we will all be there so come and say hello! Thanx CCMA's!

Both the Terri Clark show and Cloverdale Rodeo were phenomenal! We had such a blast and everyone treated us really well. There were about 4,000 people for the Terri Clark show and the rest of the weekend was even crazier!
Make sure you check out our full schedule for the summer: Williams Lake, Merritt, and Lethbridge just to name a few. Writing for the next album has already begun, with the first single scheduled to be released by the end of the year. Be sure to request our current single "Music City" which is currently on radio coast to coast. It's almost time! Our CD release party is next week. Jan 22 from 7-9 at Gabby's Country Cabaret in Langley at 203rd and the Fraser Hwy. Everyone is invited, there is no cover charge for this event. There will be a meet and great, free photos and autographs, and our cd will be for sale with 1$ from each sale going to basics for babies. We will be preforming songs from our new CD, and the Gabby's Girls dance team will make a guest apperance and preform to one of our songs. Everyone is invited, and we hope to see you there! Come out and see what all the talk is about, it's going to be a great party!

So we just had our first week off in 7 weeks and though we're exausted, it's been an amazing 7 weeks!
We sang at the BCCMA's this year, and blew them away with our debut single....what an great experience....look for us next year on the mainstage ;)......we also did a showcase in Vernon and in Saskatoon for the Rodeo's, EX's, and fairs across Canada, and it looks like everyone was extremely impressed......... so, we're thinking a mini tour across canada this summer.....CAN U BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!.......on another amazing note....we got our CD!!!!!....and it's fantastic!!!.....our CD release party is set for Jan 22nd @ Gabby's from 7-9pm and it's open to everyone, so please come out and see us preform songs from our new album....it's sure to be an amazing night!!
For those of you looking for something to do New years eve, we're at Boone County in Coquitlam, and we'd love to see you there!!!

Just wanted to wish all of our Canadian fans a Happy Thanksgiving, and give u all un update on our progress.....the CD is complete and we're just getting them printed off....should be a week or so....officially, we won't be releasing till Jan2009 (so stay tuned for that party) but we will probably be selling cd's before that off the website if possible.....our first single Summertime, had a great 3month run and it's still being played across canada....at it's peak we hit 84 on the top 100 across canada and 27th on the top 30 in Vancouver.....thank you so much to the hometown fans that were requesting it....our next single is set to be released in January along with the cd release party....the next 8 weeks are jammed with with gigs, and we'll be all over the place from our hometown of Vancouver all the way to Saskatoon....we'll see u all at the show!!!!

For all of you who didn't know, we got on the top thirty in vancouver a couple weeks ago, and we're happy to say we're climbing every week.....this week we're sitting at 27th....YAY!!!....thank you to everyone who's calling in to request it, and we're so glad everyone likes it....the feedback has been great, and our next release should be out soon....so stay tuned

Wow where does the time go?....so this weekend we're at Roosters......the last long weekend of the summer...i can't believe it!....please summer don't go away......but all things must come to and end...though not us....we're off to Ranchmans next week in calgary which is going to be an awesome show...so all u calgary fans be sure to come out....the last i heard our single was 109 out of 200 on the charts which is amazing and we're so excited....if u don't live in calgary and you're a fan closer to home, head out to the Big B in mission the next weekend for an awesome time....by the way, hope u all like the look of the new website.....these are some of the new pics for our upcoming album...pics are done, and we go to replicaion in a week....we're hoping for our release to be at the end of september....stay tuned......we'll be putting some of the songs on ITunes as well so we'll keep u all up to date.

Yay we're charting....we just found out we're 112 out of 200 on the charts....how awesome is that?
This weekend we're off to the Gabby's annual charity golf tournament at Tall Timbers Golf course in Langley for Basics for Babies........Jrfm will be there, along with many friends and patrons of Gabby's....we can't wait, should be a blast....see u all there.....i'm hoping for a hole in one, though i may just bring beer to all the thirsty players cause i don't want to show anyone up....haha
As for how the album is coming along,....very very soon, i swear.....we're just waiting on some photos to be finished then we're sending it off for duplication....we're expecting them sometime in sept, and we'll keep u all posted for when the CD release party is!!!!!!!!!!!!! booya!!!

So we just got back from Peachfest where unfortunatley we got rained out....i have never in my life seen soooo much rain....but we had a blast and want to thank Bill and Gail for making us feel very welcome, and they promise we'll be back there next year to wow the crowds.....
But we also have some extremely exciting news, we are the most picked up canadian single on the radio right now,....we are 3rd under Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw....check it out at radioandrecords.com

So it's been a while, but we've been so busy......we've been all over this great province and alberta too......we just came back from Lillooet BC, where they built us a stage outside surrounded by the mountains...it's was gorgeous.....we capped off saturday night by starting our last set on the roof with chaps and guns......don't worry they were filled with blanks....haha....you should have been there it was so funny.....thanks to Dave and Michelle for their hospitality ...we had an amazing time....on another note,our 1st single has been picked up by so many radio staions across canada and we're so excited by the response....our first single is called "Summer Time" and can be requested at any radio station....if you're looking to see us this weekend, we're at Peachfest in Penticton, BC.....bring on the party......(party on Garth...party on Wayne!!!!!)

Its the May long weekend, and Whiskey Jane still has a few weeks off till we start playing again, but man have we been busy...... Photo shoots and meetings with the style team.....the cd is almost done.....we're just trying to get the last of the graphics and photos for the cd cover.....mixing and mastering was completed, now we just need to get it replicated so you can all buy it.......stay tuned it won't be long now, and we'll see u at our next show, at Roosters first week of june......the schedule has been updated so check it out to see when we'll be coming your way......

Wow! it's been a crazy past few months for Whiskey Jane!
The band just got back from Calgary after playing at Ranchmans for the first time and totally kicked ass! New dates there will be coming soon so if you live in Calgary or surrounding areas, don't miss the band the next time they come to town.
And now the best part!...
WJ is almost finished mixing the new album and it sounds incredible! John Webster is at the helm for the mix over at Hipposonic studios with Kirby driving him crazy with last minute overdubs and comps (sorry John lol).
The band has been basically running 3 studios at the same time. Two at Hippo and of course Topspinn studios. Long days but totally worth it. Mixing wraps on thursday evening.
The band will take a little time off and then its back to work in the clubs and promo events for the album.
